The best hotels in Saint-Florent, Corsica: our 5 favorites

If you don’t want to read the whole list of hotels and why we love them, here’s our quick answer with our favorites in every corner of Saint-Florent, and why you’ll have a wonderful stay here!

Our favorite hotel in Saint-Florent: Hôtel La Roya

Hotel La Roya Saint- Florent - view from the room

Around Saint-Florent town center, this is the hotel with the most beautiful architecture, plus it has a large outdoor area and access to the sandy beach of La Roya.
We loved the views over the historic heart of Saint-Florent and the Cap Corse mountains behind.

Best hotel in the mountains: La Dimora

Hotel La Dimora Oletta Saint- Florent - cocktails by the pool

But our biggest favorites are the hotels in the mountains above Saint-Florent. The village of Oletta is just a 15-minute drive away (fairly easy road). Here, for example, you’ll find the Hotel La Dimora, one of the most charming we’ve tested in Corsica. We loved the natural setting with its stones and trees, and the serenity of the place.

Best hotel near the center: Tettola

Hotel Tettola Saint- Florent - view from room with swimming pool

Most hotels are located along the beach to the north of the town center. There are quite a few 3-star hotels. We prefer the Hotel Tettola, with its unobstructed views, beachside pool and excellent breakfast with homemade cakes.

5-star hotel in Saint-Florent: Domaine Loredana

Hotel Demeure Loredana 5 stars Saint- Florent - salon

There’s only one hotel in the Bastia / Saint-Florent area, and it’s in Saint-Florent.
Demeure Loredana offers top-quality amenities, with indoor and outdoor pools, sea views and a well-stocked décor featuring beautiful pieces of historic furniture.

Where to stay in Saint-Florent: best areas

Is spending the night in Saint-Florent worth it?

In our opinion, the Gulf of Saint-Florent is one of Corsica’s most beautiful, along with the mountains of Cap Corse on one side and the Agriates desert on the other.
The hotel offer is not the best on the island, but you’ll appreciate the calm and natural beauty of the place.

View of Saint-Florent

It’s one of the most beautiful places to stay in Corsica. And then you can plan your stay with our guide to What to do in Saint-Florent.

1. Hôtel La Roya (4 stars, south beach side)

Hotel La Roya - swimming pool

Why stay at Hotel La Roya

Saint-Florent’s hotel offer is not the most modern. Hotel La Roya really stands out with its modern Mediterranean architecture. Being on the beach side of the Roya, it offers the finest views with Saint-Florent and the Cap Corse mountains behind.

We enjoyed the views from the entire hotel, the outdoor pool and direct access to the sandy beach and sea. Ideal for a morning dip with breathtaking views!

2. Hotel Tettola (3 stars, north beach side)

Hotel Tettola - balcony and view

Why stay at Hotel Tettola

In our opinion, the hotel is one of the best value for money in Saint-Florent.
Despite a surprising first discovery with the neon exterior sign and the entrance from another era, the rooms are modern and practical.
We enjoyed the unobstructed view of the sea and the Cap Corse mountains.

The hotel’s biggest assets, in our opinion, are its outdoor pool, its access to the pebble beach of Saint-Florent, the warm, family welcome… and also the breakfast. What a selection of homemade products!

Hotel La Dimora - swimming pool

Why stay at Hotel La Dimora

What a crush!
This is our first choice for accommodation in the Saint-Florent area, but it’s not first on this list because it’s in Oletta (15min drive from Saint-Florent).
This hotel is a haven of peace surrounded by nature.
We loved the charm of the stone buildings, the magnificent trees, the pool with its outdoor beds, the restaurant and also the magnificent vaulted breakfast room.

It’s a blend of nature and history, a place to relax and unwind.

5. Hotel Aethos (U Palazzu Serenu, 4 stars, Oletta)

Hotel U Palazzu Serenu - swimming pool

Why stay at the Hotel Aethos U Palazzu Serenu

The village of Oletta is rich in magnificent buildings. This one has a different style, built as a noble palace in the 17th century. It was another of our favorites.

Right in the heart of the village, the rooms are spacious and quiet, with mountain views. The full-length swimming pool is ideal for a quiet swim in the Corsican sunshine.

Hotel Demeure Loradena - pool view

Why stay at the Demeure Loradena hotel

For an intriguing stay, choose Demeure Loradena.
Many 5-star hotels in Corsica have opted for modern design or Mediterranean style. Here, you’ll enjoy a different experience with a collection of historic architectural pieces: Maharaja’s balcony, 16th-century hand-carved wooden columns, antique furniture…

Why stay at the Hotel Dolce Notte

With the hotel’s ground-floor rooms, you couldn’t be closer to the beach. Only a low wall separates you from the pebbles and clear waters of the Mediterranean.
The hotel is conveniently located by the beach and close to the city center. We liked its convenient location for exploring the city. And falling asleep to the gentle sound of the waves is very relaxing!

Cheap hotels and camping in Saint-Florent

Saint-Florent has a good choice of hotels in the 3-star range. They don’t have the most charming decorations in Corsica, but they’re very practical.
The further away you are from the center, the lower the prices.

In terms of camping, consider:

  • Campsites by the beach in La Roya: Camping Aqua Dolce, Village Kalliste, Camping U Pezzo, Camping de la Pinède
  • And on the north side of Saint-Florent: Camping d’Olzo
