Is spending a night in L’Île-Rousse worth it?
Yes, spending a night in L’Île-Rousse is certainly worthwhile. This charming coastal town has many attractions and activities: magnificent sandy beaches, a historic town center, sunsets over the Pietra piers… Its charm and unique atmosphere deserve at least one night on a road trip, or a full stay.
It’s one of the most beautiful places to stay in Corsica.

- This is less the case when you choose a hotel closer to the Pietra islands.
Disadvantages:
- Higher prices due to privileged location
- Less privacy for some, with terraces highly visible from the street
- Noise, potentially, with the influx of tourists around
- Less when you head for the Pietra islands

Sleeping a little high, route T30
Benefits:
- Hotels that are a little less expensive because they are a little far from the city center
- They’re all easier parking
Disadvantages:
- You’ll need to walk a little further to get to the city center (10 to 15 minutes).

Sleeping outside the city center
The 2 luxury hotels in L’Île-Rousse (5 stars) that we mention in this list are not in the town center. One is to the east, along the seafront, and the other in the hills, in the village of Monticello.
Benefits:
- Secluded, quiet – great for recharging your batteries
- Beautiful views surrounded by nature
Disadvantages:
- You have to drive to get to the city
- Restaurant on site, but if you want variety, you’ll have to take the car

OUR TIPS FOR RENTING A CAR IN Corsica
- Compare prices on our preferred platform: DiscoverCars – one of the best rated sites.
- Choose a car that is powerful enough (the roads are steep) but compact (some passages are narrow).
- Think of thecomplete insurance (some roads are tortuous and narrow).
- There is a lot of demand, book it early.
Other tips to keep in mind
The town of L’Île-Rousse is a popular tourist destination. We therefore advise you to book as early as possible to have a choice of hotels and better prices.
Parking can be a problem in L’Île-Rousse, and many parking lots charge a fee, so be sure to check your hotel’s terms and conditions and include the price.
1. Rocabella Hotel
Why stay at Hotel Rocabella
We love the Rocabella hotel and its Jacuzzi suite.
We had an excellent stay here, close to the old town. Our suite was elegantly decorated, with quality materials, great taste (in our opinion) and a large sea-view terrace.
The hardest part was choosing where to sit: the armchairs, the sofa, the bed, the deckchairs, the outdoor chairs!
And we also really enjoyed relaxing in the Jacuzzi, nibbling on the cookies offered on arrival.

2. Hotel Liberata
Why stay at the Hotel Liberata
If you’re looking for a unique and authentic experience in L’Île-Rousse, Hotel Liberata is the perfect choice. This establishment offers you much more than just accommodation, but an immersion in the charm and traditional atmosphere of the region.
Located close to the main beach and picturesque lanes, we were immediately charmed by this Corsican character house.
Once in the room, the charm continues to work on us, with a warm decor and magnificent sea views from our terrace.
The beach is really only a few steps away, but if you prefer, the hotel still has a swimming pool.

3. Hotel Casa Paradisu
Why stay at Hotel Casa Paradisu
What a delightful setting!
We loved our stay at Casa Paradisu. From the moment we entered the building, with its white walls and lush vegetation, we felt the sense of relaxation sweep over us.
The gardens are magnificent (especially when we were there in May) and the swimming pool with its solarium in the water is a real success.
We also really appreciated the large bathroom.
And the day ended brilliantly with a dinner in the hotel restaurant featuring delicious Mediterranean flavors. The detox cocktail at the start of the meal whetted our appetites!

Why stay at the Saletta Mare hotel
This hotel has it all:
– very close to beaches and center but not in the middle so quieter
– spacious, especially if you’re bringing the whole family
– a beautiful swimming pool overlooking L’Île-Rousse and the Pietra islands
– the possibility of cooking so you don’t have to eat out all the time
We were charmed by its architecture, which blends into the surrounding natural environment. We think this apartment-hotel is a great success.

5. Best Western Santa Maria Hotel
Why stay at Best Western Santa Maria?
If you want to be able to walk out of the hotel in your bathing suit and dive into the sea, the Best Western is the right option for you.
It lies on the road to the Pietra islands, and offers a private beach.
Away from the noise of the city (but close enough to eat in), it’s a very relaxing place to stay, with beautiful sea views.
And if the sea is too cold, the hotel also offers a swimming pool and Jacuzzi.

What an exceptional view! If you’re looking for a luxurious and refined stay in L’Île-Rousse, the Hotel A Piattatella is an excellent choice. Nestled in an enchanting setting, this establishment offers the perfect blend of comfort, charm and tranquility.
The hotel is located in a renovated former sheepfold, surrounded by a magnificent Mediterranean garden (but beware, there are steps and slopes).
We marveled at the breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding mountains, and enjoyed the peaceful, serene atmosphere. The hotel’s rooms are elegantly decorated, with a harmonious blend of traditional Corsican style and contemporary touches.
Between the views, the pools, the spa and the gourmet restaurant, why leave the hotel?

Why stay at the Hotel Perla Rossa
It couldn’t be more central!
Hotel Perla Rossa is at the heart of it all, in the old town and along the Promenade.
We particularly appreciate the views from the hotel, with the sea and mountains in the background.
It may not have a swimming pool, but you’re very close to the beach.
And for a hotel in the center of town, we were surprised by the size of the rooms. You can breathe easy!

Why stay at the Hotel Isula Marina
If you’re looking for a room with a beautiful terrace and a full sea view, this is an excellent option.
We found the rooms spacious, clean and well-appointed, offering a haven of peace after a day of exploring. Admittedly, the decor has less charm than other hotels, but that way you can concentrate on the beautiful sea views.
The hotel’s location, close to the city center and the beach, is a major asset. You’ll find it easy to stroll the lively streets of L’Île-Rousse, discovering local markets, stores and restaurants. What’s more, the beach is just a few steps from the hotel, making it easy to enjoy the sun and sea.
