Best bistronomic restaurants in Ajaccio
1. Restaurant Le Petit Restaurant
On the corner of a cobbled street in the old town (and just a few meters from the port), we came across this restaurant with its friendly, intimate atmosphere. In addition to a pleasant terrace, we discovered an elegantly decorated interior, with magnificent stone walls, enhanced by a few contemporary touches.

What’s on the menu? A cuisine that favors short circuits and highlights local producers. We were seduced by the fine, tasty dishes prepared by chef and owner Vincent Boucher. Chef at the Champs Élysée Plaza in a previous life, he now aspires to a more peaceful life on the Isle of Beauty. From appetizer to dessert, we were delighted! The quantities were just right.

Here you can dine à la carte, or try out a menu: the 6-course Équinoxe Menu at €100, the 8-course Solstice Menu at €120, the 7-course Route des Sens Menu at €90, and the L’Éveil des Sens Menu at €60. For oenophiles, the wine list is also quite extensive.

2. Restaurant A Terrazza (Hôtel Les Mouettes)
For a meal with your feet in the water, we warmly recommend dining at Restaurant A Terrazza, part of Hôtel Les Mouettes. Only open between 7.30pm and 9.30pm, you can still enjoy its cousin, Restaurant A Terrazzina, between 12pm and 2.30pm. The lunch menu is lighter than the evening menu, and prices are less expensive.

Beyond the restaurant’s exceptional setting, we ate very well. The beauty of the landscape was enhanced by the quality of the food. We really liked this mix of land and sea. Chef Alessandro Capone transported us with his fresh Mediterranean cuisine. His Corso Italian origins added a touch of originality to his menu, which blended tradition and generosity. The sea view from our table was breathtaking.

From Port Tino Rossi, it’s about a 12-minute walk to this excellent restaurant. We were initially charmed by the restaurant’s setting. Tucked away in a sun-kissed alleyway, we instantly felt relaxed and cheerful. With this fine weather, we didn’t hesitate for a second to settle in on the outdoor terrace.

Chef Simon Andrews’ cuisine transported us into a world of tastes and flavors. From starter to dessert, we were delighted with the fresh, simple dishes, masterfully executed.
