Where to stay near the calanques de Piana: best areas
Is spending the night in Piana worth it?
The calanques of Piana are one of Corsica’s most beautiful landscapes. These pink rock cliffs are absolutely stunning.
We recommend you spend at least one night here, to go further than just the boat trip: go up to the village of Evisa, down to the beach at Ficaghjola, hike…
It’s one of the most beautiful places to stay in Corsica. And you have 2 options: take a hotel in the hills of Piana, or sleep by the water in Porto Ota.
And then you can plan your stay with our guide to Les calanques de Piana and what to do in the Gulf of Porto Ota.
Sleep in the heart of the calanques at Piana

- Peace and quiet: Piana is a small, peaceful village, far from the hustle and bustle of the big cities and not just for tourists.
- Several restaurants in the village
Disadvantages:
- Winding road from the calanques de Piana down to the marina
- Limited accommodation options: Piana is a small village
Our favorite hotels:
We recommend the Hotel Capo Rosso with its swimming pool – see photos and availability
And the Scandola hotel with its varied views – see photos and availability
Benefits:
- Ideal location: Porto-Ota is situated in the heart of the reserve between the calanques de Piana and Scandola.
