Is the Hotel Alivi Bastia worth it? Our review
We think the Hotel Alivi Bastia is one of the best options for staying in Bastia.
We appreciated the calm that reigns here, allowing us to recharge our batteries after a day spent exploring the city of Bastia. We were able to take full advantage of the splendid view, which was truly soothing and enchanting.

Decoration and atmosphere
Hôtel Alivi Bastia’s relatively imposing architecture puts it right next to the sea.

The decor, meanwhile, is minimalist and soft, letting the natural surroundings take center stage. A few elements (high chairs at the bar, dividers in the breakfast room) keep the eyes from getting bored.
The room
Our room was sober and natural, with extensive use of wood and a sandy color with effect paint on the wall.

The small pedestal table and armchair to the right of the bed broke up the decor, which was a little too aseptic for our taste.
We found a kettle in the room for making hot drinks.

The best thing about the rooms at the Hôtel Alivi Bastia in Bastia is the sea view, with the Tuscan islands in the distance, which we were able to enjoy to the full on our small terrace equipped with garden furniture. In addition to the visual pleasure, we had the impression that the sea was almost within reach…

The bathroom
In our room, the bathroom featured a bathtub and hygiene products from Algotherm, a specialist in seaweed-based marine treatments.

The breakfast
Hotel Alivi Bastia in Bastia offers a varied and tasty buffet breakfast. You’ll be able to sample local products such as hazelnut Canistrelli, as well as homemade cakes from housekeeper Adriana.

We particularly appreciated the choice of products on offer, from pastries, jams and fruit to hard-boiled eggs, cheese and Corsican charcuterie.
Equipment and common areas
Hotel Alivi Bastia has a small swimming pool with a direct view of the sea, whose water was 22 degrees at the time of our visit, but it was early in the season and the sun was still shy.

Around the pool, you’ll find pleasant sunbathing areas and just below, a small private beach for white-water swimmers.

The restoration
If you fancy a drink, the bar is open all day long on the terrace in front of the hotel.
The hotel has its own restaurant, L’Archipel. In a very pleasant setting, you can enjoy Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on the sea: shellfish, catch of the day, seafood pasta… What better way to accompany the sound of the waves and the smell of the sea, which will lull you to sleep during your meal!
