The weather is very nice in Corsica in July. The days are very long, the rains rare and the wind warm and pleasant. The sky is clear and the sun is shining. The temperatures are very hot, sometimes too hot, and the holidaymakers are very numerous. July is a very good time to visit Corsica.

Temperatures

The temperatures are warm. Some days, they exceed 30°C (86°F). The average temperature is 26°C (79°F), and during the day it is about 27°C (80°F).

Water temperatures

In August, the sea is warm, around 24°C (75°F). It is ideal for water activities such as swimming, snorkeling, paddling or kayaking.

Crowds and prizes

In July, tourists are very numerous because of the summer vacations. Beaches and tourist attractions can be crowded. There are still fewer people than in August. However, the rates are the highest of the year.

Opening conditions

Everything is open in July: attractions, museums and parks, hotels, restaurants.

1. Climate in Corsica in July – weather forecast

The climate of Corsica is Mediterranean. It has dry summers with high temperatures, and rainy but relatively mild winters.

In July, the wind does not blow much on Corsica. When there is, it is hot and dry. The rainfall is very fine and infrequent. You can plan your trip without worrying.

We enjoy the long sunny days. It is very hot in the morning. Some days, the thermometer reads over 30°C (86°F). It is the perfect climate to enjoy the sea.

It is also the season for hiking, but be careful on hot days.

The temperature in the mountains depends on your altitude. In Corte, the thermometer shows an average of 25°C (77°F). The higher you go, the lower the temperatures get.

3. Rain in Corsica in July

It hardly rains on the whole island.

  • Rainfall in Ajaccio: 65 mm

The wind in Corsica depends on the place and the season, but rarely prevents tourist activities. In July, Corsica is less windy than the rest of the year.

The winds are dry and warm. The north is the most exposed region. The eastern beaches are the least windy on the island.
