Best gourmet and Michelin-starred restaurants in Porto-Vecchio
1. Restaurant La Table de Mina (Hôtel Les Bergeries de Palombaggia)
In a typical stone building, we pushed open the doors of La Table de Mina restaurant, just 5 minutes from the famous Palombaggia beach. In our opinion, this gourmet restaurant is a gem of a culinary experience in Porto-Vecchio. Did you know that “Mina” means “Granny” to local children? Chef Lucas Perez Gonzalez invites us to rediscover a creative cuisine based on Corsica’s terroir, but above all on grandmothers’ timeless recipes. All revisited in an elegant and convivial cocoon.
In our plates, warm colors and heterogeneous textures waltzed. We could make out the chef’s meticulous movements as he laid out the dish, distinguishing the place of each dish on the plate. True works of gastronomic art, fusing bold local ingredients with inventive cuisine! We embarked on a gustatory voyage with a non-alcoholic house cocktail, followed by delicious sourdough bread from Bonifacio, accompanied by exceptional oil from Sartène and a touch of pepper to awaken our palates.
Radish leaves with black garlic, peas with Corsican mint, saffron and truffle, turbot with puffed seeds, asparagus and samphire… These dishes, as original as they were good, revealed unexpected textures and flavours! For dessert, like us, try a sheep’s milk panna cotta with strawberries, pineapple and poached bananas for a refreshingly sweet touch.

4. Restaurant U Santa Marina (terrace with sea view)
During our meal at Restaurant U Santa Marina, we were delighted to discover a contemporary culinary style combining refinement and creativity. Our table under the glass roof allowed us to soak up the sun’s rays while watching the waves gradually disappear along the beach. Room service was measured to the letter to follow a particular rhythm of dish delivery. We enjoyed many delicacies.
To start, a Panna cotta on artichoke leaf with tomato emulsion opened the ball of our dishes, followed by a Mediterranean Tuna in leaf with lime cream, Aquitaine caviar and shredded house bottarga (a Mediterranean specialty). And for dessert, a smooth strawberry cream was served with crispy rice and a strawberry hibiscus sorbet. What a delight! Among these refined dishes, sorbet stands out for its exquisite flavor.
