We visited the region anonymously, making our own choices and paying our bills in full.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is Roncu beach worth it?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, Roncu beach is well worth a visit, especially if you take advantage of the coastal path around it.<br\/>You won&#8217;t have a view of the citadel from the beach, but it is a small beach below, protected by huge rocks. We found it very charming, and especially less crowded!<br\/>This is one of <a href=\"https:\/\/corsicalovers.fr\/en\/beaches-near-calvi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Calvi&#8217;s most beautiful beaches<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Corsica-Lovers\/Calvi\/n-Fj6HQV\/Plage-roncu\/i-DFdSXjd\/0\/517c27cc\/L\/Calvi_plage_roncu-3-L.jpg\" alt=\"Roncu beach\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Beach type<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sand or no sand?<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The soil on Roncu beach is made of small gravel.<br\/>You won&#8217;t find any sand.<br\/>And in the water, they&#8217;re more like pebbles.<br\/>We recommend that you wear swimming shoes.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Corsica-Lovers\/Calvi\/n-Fj6HQV\/Plage-roncu\/i-qX9v8gB\/0\/368b19e5\/L\/Calvi_plage_roncu_graviers-L.jpg\" alt=\"gravel on the beach at Ron&#xE7;u\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installations<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We didn&#8217;t see any showers or toilets on the beach.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Monitoring<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The beach is unsupervised.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conditions for swimming<\/h3>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Corsica-Lovers\/Calvi\/n-Fj6HQV\/Plage-roncu\/i-ZMCG9xH\/0\/33533543\/L\/Calvi_plage_roncu_eau-L.jpg\" alt=\"slope and water\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The water is transparent and magnificent, making you want to take a dip.<br\/>It&#8217;s a small cove, so the water stays calm along the beach.<br\/>With all the rocks, you can enjoy a little snorkeling.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Roncu beach in Calvi: access<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where to find Roncu beach<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the city of Calvi<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access from the citadel: 6 to 8min walk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access from the port: 8 to 10min walk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Access by car and parking<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is no dedicated parking.<br\/>You can get there on foot from the center of town, and therefore from the center&#8217;s parking lots.<br\/>There&#8217;s a small parking lot near the war memorial, a little further west along the Route de Porto.
