Its main asset is its <strong>exceptional location<\/strong>, right in the center of town, close to the city&#8217;s main tourist attractions.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this article, we present our <strong>experience<\/strong> at the Hotel San Carlu Citadelle and the services it offers. Here are its 3 main assets:  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>rooftop<\/strong>, with its bar and restaurant, offers exceptional panoramic views even indoors. Our review<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We really enjoyed the Hotel San Carlu Citadelle in Ajaccio.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The location<\/strong> is excellent, right next to the Citadelle, making it the ideal place to visit the city. The <strong>views<\/strong> from our room and from breakfast were magnificent and gave us a good start to the day.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We consider this <a href=\"https:\/\/corsicalovers.fr\/en\/luxury-hotels-ajaccio-4-5-stars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hotel to be one of the best in Ajaccio.<\/a><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Corsica-Lovers\/Ajaccio\/n-BzXM5W\/Hotel-San-Carlu-Citadelle\/i-44HZL22\/0\/d1b68acd\/L\/hotel-san-carlu-citadelle-ajaccio-vue-2-L.jpg\" alt=\"in the foreground a bistro table and in the background the citadel and the sea\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Decoration and atmosphere<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Hotel San Carlu Citadelle in Ajaccio offers a <strong>chic, elegant and urban<\/strong> atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Neutral tones <\/strong>and contemporary materials give the hotel an elegant, uncluttered look. But here we also love a <strong>design piece <\/strong>that stands out, a touch of gold or silver that surprises the eye!<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Corsica-Lovers\/Ajaccio\/n-BzXM5W\/Hotel-San-Carlu-Citadelle\/i-sTGjS9r\/0\/312edf06\/L\/hotel-san-carlu-citadelle-ajaccio-batiment-2-L.jpg\" alt=\"view of the hotel entrance, with black steps forming a triangle\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The room<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like the hotel, our room was<strong> sober and chic<\/strong>, with a few quirky design elements.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Corsica-Lovers\/Ajaccio\/n-BzXM5W\/Hotel-San-Carlu-Citadelle\/i-6ZGrmhz\/0\/a59a0d7e\/L\/hotel-san-carlu-citadelle-ajaccio-chambre-1-L.jpg\" alt=\"photo of the bed, with its brown bedspread and the window in the background from which you can see the sea\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We particularly liked the <strong>gold accents <\/strong>(hangers, shelves, console, reading lights) that brighten up the room, as well as the resolutely colorful bedside table with its fluorescent colors and retro telephone (which really lets you call reception!).<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Corsica-Lovers\/Ajaccio\/n-BzXM5W\/Hotel-San-Carlu-Citadelle\/i-78Mt7bk\/0\/c5a04f1d\/L\/hotel-san-carlu-citadelle-ajaccio-chambre-3-L.jpg\" alt=\"photo of the green, blue and pink fluorescent bedside table with a retro black telephone on top\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the show is also on the outside, with some rooms offering a <strong>breathtaking view of Ajaccio&#8217;s citadel<\/strong>, the marina and the sea. Rooms at the rear of the building overlook the city&#8217;s narrow streets, while those on the lower floors look out over the citadel ramparts.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color It features a walk-in shower, an attractive high vanity unit, and hygiene products from <strong>Keiji<\/strong> (oriental-inspired made-in-France products scented with essential oils) and <strong>Gemology<\/strong> (a French brand based on trace element formulas derived from minerals).<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Corsica-Lovers\/Ajaccio\/n-BzXM5W\/Hotel-San-Carlu-Citadelle\/i-nGWB4St\/0\/05fc2bb2\/L\/hotel-san-carlu-citadelle-ajaccio-salle-bains-L.jpg\" alt=\"Photo of bathroom with vanity unit on right and walk-in shower on left\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also found a bathrobe and slippers. The bathroom is in two-tone gray and silver, matching the gold of the bedroom.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The breakfast<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the Hotel San Carlu Citadelle in Ajaccio, you can enjoy a <strong>buffet-style<\/strong> breakfast featuring local products such as Corsican sheep&#8217;s yogurt, jams and canistrellis, as well as homemade products.
