We visited the area anonymously, making our own choices and paying all our bills in full.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1 &#8211; The Citadel of Bonifacio<\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Travel\/Corsica\/16a-Bonifacio-forticiations\/i-V9g8Kq3\/5\/f9350b63\/L\/Bonifacio_Corse-2-L.jpg\" alt=\"Citadel of Bonifacio\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is this?<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bonifacio is one of the most fascinating places in Corsica. A must in our opinion!<br\/>The place combines nature, history and architecture.<br\/>The citadel is built on a peninsula surrounded by impressive white cliffs, sculpted by erosion. The Most Famous Beaches in Southern Corsica: Palombaggia and Tamaricciu<\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Travel\/Corsica\/15a-Palombaggia\/i-qqXd5NN\/1\/6fbb58d7\/L\/plage_Palombaggia_Corse-26-L.jpg\" alt=\"Palombaggia Beach\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is this?<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Palombaggia is the most famous of all the beaches in Corsica as it has often been ranked as one of the best beaches in the world<a href=\"https:\/\/corsicalovers.fr\/plus-belles-plages-de-corse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(see our list of the most beautiful in Corsica<\/a>).<br\/>The beach has several coves with long stretches of white sand lined with umbrella pines.<br\/>Moreover, there are fantastic red rocks to explore in between: fun on land and ideal for snorkeling.<br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/corsicalovers.fr\/en\/palombaggia-beach-corsica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">See tips and photos<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like Palombaggia, the <a href=\"https:\/\/corsicalovers.fr\/en\/tamaricciu-beach-corsica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">beach of Tamaricciu<\/a> is a long stretch of white sand, turquoise water and pine trees. This beach is quite large with fine white sand.
