But don&#8217;t expect too much, because sometimes seaweed beds can gather on these beautiful beaches and then they look and smell a lot less heavenly! They are essential. The trees, emerald water and peaks are your companions (many go swimming to cool off in the summer).<br\/>Then, as you go up, you get fantastic views of the Aiguilles de Bavella. According to us, the view is even better from the road than from the famous Bavella pass.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The cliffs of Bonifacio in the South<\/h3>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Travel\/Corsica\/15f-Phare-PErtusato\/i-LcqrTCP\/1\/7b01b3a9\/L\/phare_pertusato_Corse-18-L.jpg\" alt=\"Cliffs around Bonifacio\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The citadel of Bonifacio is built on a peninsula on top of cliffs of more than 70m high.
