But it&#8217;s a very small lead.<br\/>From the road, we have a breathtaking view of the bay. And once at the beach, you can walk to the left to reach a small cove full of gray rocks that is famous for its unique umbrella pine. Evisa in Ota<\/h3>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Travel\/Corsica\/5c-gorges-de-Spelunca\/i-Nmxn5bN\/1\/f2a0ea5c\/L\/gorges_de_spelunca_corse-29-L.jpg\" alt=\"the most beautiful roads of Corsica - Evisa to Ota\" title=\"the most beautiful roads of Corsica - Evisa to Ota\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Location<\/strong><br\/>West Central Corsica<br\/>Near the Calanques de Piana<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Why drive this road<\/strong><br\/>The road starts in the village of Evisa (the viewpoint you saw earlier) and runs along the Solenzara gorges to the Calanques de Piana.<br\/>The canyon is deep and the rocks are red. There are many layers of mountains and steep cliffs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Difficulty of driving<\/strong><br\/>The road has 1 lane in each direction with a clear center line. The trees, emerald water and peaks are your companions (many go swimming to cool off in the summer).<br\/>Then, as you go up, you get fantastic views of the Aiguilles de Bavella. According to us, the view is even better from the road than from the famous Bavella pass.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Difficulty of driving<\/strong><br\/>No major difficulty (until the last climb to the pass which narrows). It crosses a narrow canyon to the beginning of the Melo Lake hiking trails.<br\/>It is wild with sharp peaks, snow, rivers and small waterfalls when the snow melts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Difficulty of driving<\/strong><br\/>Very difficult to drive. We were only two cars to cross during our visit. It is a short route between two rock walls. The canyon is narrow, the road crosses it and the river is filled with white rocks in some places.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Difficulty of driving<\/strong><br\/>Not too difficult. A little view on the precipices, but wide enough. But there are not many places to stop and enjoy the view.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">15.
