What can you see in South Corsica in 5 days? Is it long enough?<\/h3>\n\n

Five days are all it takes to explore the must-see sites of the south: Bonifacio, famous beaches, mountains and picturesque villages. You can alternate between cultural visits, seaside relaxation and hiking.<\/p>\n\n

By staying around Porto-Vecchio or Bonifacio, you can cover the whole region without changing accommodation.<\/p>\n\n

Getting around South Corsica<\/h3>\n\n

A car is essential for exploring South Corsica. Public transport is limited outside the main routes, and the sites are scattered over a vast area. We recommend that you reserve a vehicle as soon as you arrive at Figari airport or Ajaccio harbor.<\/p>\n\n

Roads in the south are generally more passable than those in the north of the island. Allow around 2h30 between Ajaccio and Bonifacio, then 35min between Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio. And don’t forget to allow time for parking, especially in Bonifacio and Sart\u00e8ne, where spaces are scarce in high season.<\/p>\n\n

Where to stay in South Corsica<\/h3>\n\n

We recommend staying in the Porto-Vecchio area. The town offers a wide choice of accommodation, some with direct access to the sea. It’s also an ideal starting point for exploring the entire southern tip of the island.<\/p>\n\n
