We visited the region anonymously, making our own choices and paying our bills in full.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is the Plage du Grand Sperone worth it?<\/h2>\n\n<p>Yes, it&#8217;s a magnificent beach and well worth a visit. It is one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/corsicalovers.fr\/en\/best-beaches-south-corsica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">most beautiful in Corse-du-Sud<\/a>. We were seduced by its fine white sand and deep blue crystalline waters. The breathtaking view of the Lavezzi Islands adds to the magic of the place. We particularly appreciate its unspoilt environment. Surrounded by dunes, Mediterranean scrub and spectacular cliffs, it offers a wild, natural experience. We also observed the presence of Posidonia meadows, marine plants essential to the Mediterranean ecosystem. Nevertheless, the crystal-clear azure waters offer excellent bathing conditions. We&#8217;ve found that the entry to the water is progressive, facilitating access for bathers. Its difficult access and unspoilt nature explain the total absence of infrastructure. Please note that there is no on-site parking: visitors park in a row on both sides of the rather narrow road. We recommend arriving early to find a seat, especially in high season. Once you&#8217;ve parked your car near Plage de Piantarella (the starting point for the hike), allow around 30min to walk to Plage du Grand Sperone. The Diagon Alley crosses boulders and includes steps. We recommend that you follow the signs carefully, especially when crossing rocky areas. Natural staircases carved out of rock require special care. We noticed a total lack of child-friendly facilities. In addition, the beach is not supervised, so you need to be extra vigilant. We strongly recommend that you bring your own food and drink, as the total absence of facilities makes it impossible to buy anything on site.
