Piantarella Beach<\/strong> offers an exceptional setting in the magnificent Bay of Piantarella<\/strong>, with its azure blue gradations and sandbank. We were seduced by this lively beach, which attracts windsurfers, wingfoilers and other water sports enthusiasts.<\/p>\n\n

Is Piantarella Beach worth it?<\/h2>\n\n

Yes, it’s a beautiful beach and well worth a visit. This stretch of white sand won us over with its Bay of Piantarella, with its magnificent shades of azure blue. We particularly appreciated the possibility of renting a kayak to reach the Grotte des Amoureux or the Lavezzi Islands. The beach has a sporty feel to it, with plenty of options for windsurfing, wingfoiling and jet skiing. This beach is not ideal for lazing around, however, as the sandy area is covered with seaweed (Posidonia meadows).<\/p>\n\n

Type of beach<\/h2>\n\n

Sand or no sand?<\/h3>\n\n

The soil at Plage de Piantarella is made up of white sand, but most of it is covered with Posidonia meadows, marine plants essential to the Mediterranean ecosystem. This feature gives the beach a natural, unspoilt look, but doesn’t invite you to spread out your towel and sunbathe.<\/p>\n\n

Swimming conditions and supervision<\/h3>\n\n

Entry into the water is gentle, as the overall water level remains low for a long distance. We found that it’s even possible to walk across to \u00cele Piana on a sandbar. However, we would like to warn you about the strong currents and dangerous deportation that can occur. This beach is more suited to water sports than sunbathing and lounging.<\/p>\n\n

We didn’t see any signs indicating that the beach is supervised.<\/p>\n\n

Installations<\/h3>\n\n

We found wheelchair-accessible toilets by the beach. Plage de Piantarella also offers a full range of water sports equipment for hire: pedalos, kayaks, windsurfing, wingfoil, boats, jet skis, windsurf boards and stand-up paddleboards. You can also enjoy a boat trip to the islands or an underwater cruise. For on-site refreshments, there’s a snack bar offering drinks, ice creams and sandwiches, and a pizzeria.<\/p>\n\n
