It also offers incredible sea views. We visited the region anonymously, making our own choices and paying our bills in full.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is Chiuni Beach worth it?<\/h2>\n\n<p>Yes, it&#8217;s a beautiful wild beach that&#8217;s well worth a visit.<\/p>\n\n<p>We were seduced by this long stretch of sand. In addition to the magnificent scenery, you can also go snorkeling. We recommend you bring a mask and snorkel to explore the seabed!<\/p>\n\n<p>This beach is relatively quiet, as it is isolated to the south of Piana. If you&#8217;re looking for peace and quiet, this is the ideal place to relax in an exceptional natural setting.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Travel\/Corsica\/4c-Plage-de-Chiuni\/i-CF3H3Bk\/8\/2904514d\/L\/plage_de_chiuni_corse-25-L.jpg\" alt=\"point de vue-plage chiuni - south corsica\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Type of beach<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sand or no sand?<\/h3>\n\n<p>The beach floor is a mixture of sand and small gravel.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Travel\/Corsica\/4c-Plage-de-Chiuni\/i-MHqZWDC\/5\/288dbae2\/L\/plage_de_chiuni_corse-12-L.jpg\" alt=\"sable-plage chiuni - south corsica\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Swimming conditions and supervision<\/h3>\n\n<p>The slope to enter the water is quite steep. You can quickly lose your footing.  <\/p>\n\n<p>We couldn&#8217;t find any verified information about beach surveillance.<\/p>\n\n<p>If you decide to snorkel along the rocks, avoid going too far from the shore.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Travel\/Corsica\/4c-Plage-de-Chiuni\/i-k53Fwr9\/5\/372f20e2\/L\/plage_de_chiuni_corse-10-L.jpg\" alt=\"eau-plage chiuni - south corsica\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installations<\/h3>\n\n<p>We didn&#8217;t see any showers or toilets on the beach.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Travel\/Corsica\/4c-Plage-de-Chiuni\/i-jLDDCHc\/5\/276eb338\/L\/plage_de_chiuni_corse-13-L.jpg\" alt=\"rochers-plage chiuni - south corsica\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Chiuni beach in Carg\u00e8se: access<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where&#8217;s the beach?<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the commune of Carg\u00e8se in southern Corsica,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From Piana to Chiuni Beach: 20min drive,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>East of the Genoese Tower of Omigna.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Travel\/Corsica\/4c-Plage-de-Chiuni\/i-RmQ6VcQ\/5\/882208f4\/L\/plage_de_chiuni_corse-38-L.jpg\" alt=\"omigna - chiuni beach - south corsica\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Access by car and parking<\/h3>\n\n<p>To reach Chiuni Beach, take the D81 departmental road, then turn off towards <em>Piaghja di Chjuni<\/em>. It&#8217;s the Corsican name for the beach. When we went there, the Club M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e sign was still there, but it&#8217;s closed for good.<\/p>\n\n<p>You&#8217;ll find plenty of parking spaces along the beach road. The ground is not tarred. The slope to enter the water is quite steep. They can quickly lose their footing. U Tragulinu serves paninis, pizzas, salads and sandwiches.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Alternatively, we recommend you take the road to Piana.
