Wir waren von dem architektonischen Altarbild des Hauptaltars mit seinen gro\u00dfen monolithischen S\u00e4ulen beeindruckt, das 1624 geschnitzt wurde. Der Altartisch wurde sp\u00e4ter, im Jahr 1763, erneuert. In der Mitte befindet sich das Gem\u00e4lde von L\u00e9on Olivi\u00e9 aus dem Jahr 1869 (nach einem Modell von Murillo), das einen sanften Kontrast zum Prunk des Marmors bildet.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Das ungew\u00f6hnliche Detail, das Sie sich nicht entgehen lassen sollten<\/strong>? Der silberne Halbmond, der die letzte Stufe des Altars schm\u00fcckt. In Wirklichkeit handelt es sich um einen au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlichen Kronleuchter aus 6,5 kg Silber, der von dem sienesischen Goldschmied Gaetano Macchi (1856-1857) angefertigt wurde.
